I would probably send my family elsewhere, now is not a great time to be sick so I'd try to get them to try to do everything outpatient.

I would tell my loved ones not to come to our ER, go to KU. We have an amazing LDRP state of the art birthing center, day surgery is pretty good but we are WAY overloaded and over capacity all the time.
Has worked at hospital for 10+ years

I would tell my family that we have a great religious-based belief system, we have non-denominational values that would make anyone feel comfortable during a difficult time.

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is better than the care I saw when I worked at Overland Park.

Bottom Line for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is middle of the pack, strongly recommended for Labor and Delivery care but not for other specialized care. RNs here struggle to deliver the kind of care they know patients deserve but they band together to get work done. Patients who are not in the more intensive care units may not get the attention/care they are expecting.
